This #WorldFoodDay, we join the global community in reaffirming our commitment to transforming food systems for better nutrition, sustainable livelihoods, and resilience in the face of climate change.
At Sustainet Group Ltd, we collaborate with communities, governments, and development partners to enhance food and nutrition security through climate-smart agriculture, inclusive value chains, and market-driven innovations.
Across East Africa, our projects focus on:
1. Strengthening local food systems and agricultural value chains to boost productivity and income
2. Supporting smallholder farmers and cooperatives through training, agribusiness development, and access to markets
3. Promoting climate-resilient farming practices and sustainable land management
4. Empowering women and youth in agriculture through capacity building and enterprise support
One example is our ongoing Agricultural Processing Business in Gobweyn/Luglow, Jubbaland, under the “Promoting Climate Resilient Food Security in Jubbaland” project, which enhances local food production, processing, and employment opportunities; contributing to food security and economic empowerment in Somalia.
